The use of natural stone in interior design is nothing new; in fact, it’s rare to find countertops made of anything besides granite, marble, or quartzite anymore. But these popular materials are, more and more, moving out of kitchens and bathrooms into other spaces in the home, and in fresh applications. This year, expect to see stone—be it the real deal or something inspired by it—appear in everything from large-scale furniture and fixed elements to hardware and accessories.
