Hanuman Rescuing Sita Painting
Accessories, Art, Accessories- ALLThis captivating painting tells the story of Hanuman travelling to Lanka to rescue the kidnapped Sita. After being captured, tied, and set on fire, Hanuman escapes and sets fire to the city. Though unable to rescue Sita, Hanuman ensures her safety before fleeing the city.
The central figure of this image is immediately identifiable. Hanuman's vivid red body jumps out at the viewer and is set upon a dark green forest. The angle of the trees shows us how high and fast Hanuman moves across the city. The top portion of the painting depicts the city of Lanka on fire. While the colors are just as bold as Hanuman, the imagery is more subtle to remind us that Hanuman is the focus of this piece. Framed.
